Gnodal Management

World leaders

Gnodal was founded in 2007 by a world-class team of infrastructure design experts with a proven track record of delivering systems to the most demanding customers. The team's 20 years of experience, working together on design, manufacture and deployment, has led to the definition of a technology that is revolutionizing the data center, delivering power efficiency, scalability and high performance.

Fred Homewood - CTO

Fred has been a chip designer for more than 20 years, specializing in the development of processors and communication systems. Fred founded Gnodal in 2007 to develop standards-based, high-performance, low-power interconnects for large data centers. Previously, Fred was a design manager at Quadrics responsible for ASIC projects. He also worked at STMicro, first as an architect for VLIW processor design and later as chief architect of the ST200 processor family. Additionally, Fred was an architect at Inmos, where he helped to develop the first floating-point process chip, the T800 Transputer.

Tony Ford - COO

In a career extending more than 20 years in High-Performance Computing, Tony has delivered leading networking products to some of the world's most demanding customers. Prior to co-founding Gnodal, his experience in this challenging field ranged from architectural design and planning, managing software, applications and manufacturing teams, to overall responsibility for field system deployment of some of the world's largest, fastest computer systems. During this time, he worked with many of the laboratories and major data center sites in the US and Europe, and has developed business relationships with decision makers and leading developers at those sites and with channel partners.

Mike Cartwright - CFO
